Keynote Speakers

Jon Meacham

Presidential Historian

Jon Meacham is a presidential historian, Pulitzer Prize winner and contributor to Time magazine and The New York Times Book Review. He is one of America’s most prominent public intellectuals, and a regular guest on Morning Joe, where he is known for his depth of knowledge about politics, religion and current affairs.

Meacham’s latest presidential biography, Destiny and Power: The American Odyssey of George Herbert Walker Bush, debuted at No. 1 on The New York Times best-sellers list. In addition to authoring multiple best-selling works, Meacham has appeared on television shows such as Meet the Press and The Colbert Report. He's also been featured in a Ken Burns documentary and a Fox News special.

Meacham is a distinguished visiting professor of history at The University of the South and a visiting distinguished professor at Vanderbilt.
